Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics Welcomes Andre Martinez
Prosthetic expert brings more than 17 years’ experience
Houston, Texas – Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics, a Hanger Clinic company, has added certified prosthetist and Houston native Andre Martinez to its Houston-based team. Martinez brings more than 17 years of experience treating patients of all ages in need of prosthetic care and will now treat patients at Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics’ office located at 11155 S. Main St., Houston, 77025 (Ph: 713-747-4171).
Martinez joins Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics after serving 17 years in the industry, specializing in the treatment of those with high-level pelvic amputations, hip disarticulations, partial foot amputations, and young children born with a congenital anomaly known as Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency (PFFD), which may result in the absence of or shortening of a leg bone.
“We are very excited to welcome Andre to our company,” said Thomas Dibello, area practice manager, Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics. “His clinical skills and stellar reputation will be a great asset to our team.”
After serving in the U.S. Army for three years, Martinez attended the University of Houston (UH) where a classmate had a prosthetic arm, a happening that changed Martinez’s initial career aspirations of becoming a mechanical engineer to becoming a prosthetist. Martinez found out where prostheses were made, and soon after, started a job as a prosthetic technician where he learned to build prosthetic devices. He continued to work full-time and pursue his new career goals full-time, and following graduation from UH, went on to Northwestern University where he received his certificate in prosthetics, and soon after, started his career as a prosthetist.
Specializing in the custom fit and design of prosthetic and orthotic devices, Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics is comprised of certified prosthetists who specialize in both upper and lower extremity prosthetics, including pediatric care, and orthotists who treat the entire spectrum of orthopedic and rehabilitation cases, including cranial remolding treatments.
